MOMS is designed around the Titus 2:4 concept of older women teaching and encouraging younger women in their relationships with their husbands and children, as well as their role in the home. It will provide Bible-based instruction and practicums for moms of children from infant age through elementary school. This is accomplished through quality instruction, small group discussion, and the practical wisdom of experienced mothers that have already gone through what the younger mothers are now facing. It is designed to be both a place of spiritual growth for committed Christian women and an outreach to community friends as it shares the Gospel and is a bridge into the church.

Some mothers may feel …

Isolated 

• No extended family in the area
• In neighborhoods without other moms at home
• Missing the camaraderie of the workplace

Insignificant

• In a culture that minimizes their value and role as mothers

Intimidated

• By information overload from parenting “experts”

When does the MOMS Ministry meet?

We meet on the third Tuesday of the Month, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. from September through May.

What will we be studying?

The Bible study topics for the 2011-2012 year will be announed.

These times of instruction will be followed by small group discussion periods facilitated by a group leader.

What practicums will be included?

We are aiming to have a variety of hands-on practicums for 2011-2012 (to be announced).

Is there a cost to attend the MOMS Ministry?

There is a $25.00 annual dues required from the member moms to defray the program expenses. The dues will be collected at the first meeting a mom attends.

Will a nursery be provided?

Childcare will be provided for children through kindergarten age. Each Mom participating in the MOMS Ministry is requested to minister in the nursery at least once during the ministry year.
